I came to Waterloo, Iowa from Southern Missouri in 1954 and soon started working for a tree company trimming utility lines. On weekends I did work on my own for homeowners. After a year of this I started full time on my own. We started with the name of Expert Tree & Logging Co. Later we dropped the logging from our name. I have strived for excellence in all the tree work we do since I started. We have been told many times by our customers that we named our business correctly. We find as our trucks state that "local preference is our best reference".

We learned from the start that we must be able to climb any tree, anywhere, but we have bucket trucks for more expedience where we can get them to the tree.

We would like to believe that we treat you home, our job site, as we would our own. With a good attitude, and proper language as you would expect of a business that has been successful in the Waterloo--Cedar Falls area for 54 years.

Expert Appraisal:

We give expert appraisal of the tree work in question. We can evaluate all the trees on the property and suggest what might be done for proper tree care. This is a written and signed appraisal and the cost is $20 for anything up to the first hour. We bill you for this if you have not scheduled this work, or part of this work, within the first 30 days. If you have us do the work the appraisal is free.

Clean Up:

We do complete clean up on a complete tree job, of any size.

Insurance:

We are required to have necessary insurance to get a city tree license. We give you a copy of our license with our bid.

Corrective Pruning:

There are many things involved in corrective pruning in today’s world. We will be glad to advise and explain about the work we do.

Tree Removal:

We decided early on that we would never back down from any tree of any size or location. After 45 years of work we have all equipment needed for any tree job. We have a stump machine for any tree we remove, regardless of location.
